Day 19 Eagle Lake

Fri 15/6 5948 steps
Happy birthday Ady
We slept late, both a bit buggered from our cycle. It was too cold for us Swazis so we headed south down route 62 and onward through farming land and more forests. We had brunch at Klamath Grill. They were so friendly and did not object when I ordered the pastrami on a hashbrown instead of a roll. The hash brown was fresh and delicious, but the size of the plate. Excellent pastrami!
At some point, we pulled over on the side of the road, so David could have a nap. We camped at Eagle Lake near Susanville. David had a short cycle and was chased by a dog.

What I learnt: Not every day can be exciting or memorable.

  1. Hi Kim we cannot contact you on whatsapp!!!! What’s your US number??? Caroline says all is well back home you are not to worry. She asks I’d you can please give me the name and ISBN number of your book she liked about routes/travel around the world, she thinks the cover had a picture of a man on a bicycle. Pip is in Cape Town and she would like him to bring her back a copy. Back to normal – we are loving reading your blog, even the bits you deem boring!!my resolve re RVs still remains though, they are for others and not moi. A comfy hotel room/Airbnb apartment is more my style for sure now, but, you guys enjoy!! Envy you loads, what a once in a lifetime experience, am inspired to explore the US that’s off the beaten track. We miss you, cut the journey short and come home…..
